Be careful what you wish for! return on the helicopter accident of Denis Monastyrsky, Ukrainian minister died in the accident, he was not the only important person for kyiv.

Bad karma though: Let’s go back to the helicopter accident which cost the death of the Ukrainian minister, as a reminder in June 2022, this same Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs, Denis Monastyrsky, had wished the death of V. Putin… yesterday, he died in the helicopter crash in Kyiv.

Update on the helicopter crash in kyiv-Brovary: Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky, his first deputy Yevhen Yenin and his state secretary Yury Lubkovich were killed in an emergency services Eurocopter EC225LP Super Puma.

The device from the Ministry of Internal Affairs was delivered to the kyiv entity under Poroshenko and was previously used by Arsen Avakov.

Radio silenced in MSN media. We have received a very interesting Western analysis of yesterday’s disaster in Brovary. Significantly, Western analysts place more emphasis on the death not so much of Interior Minister Monastyrsky than his deputy Yenin.

It is believed in the West that Kyiv will struggle to find someone with the same experience and understanding of the international situation as Yenin. Yenin was appointed first deputy interior minister in September 2021, and before that he was a member of the special services (first the foreign intelligence of the SVRU, then the counterintelligence of the SBU). He also worked at the Embassy in Chisinau and in Rome as an adviser to the Ambassador. In addition, he was a senior official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2005-2016), in charge of Asian affairs, then of the Black Sea countries.

His specialty, however, was the fight against Russian influence, from Transnistria to kyiv, combined with a deep knowledge of crisis management. He worked in the Attorney General’s office before representing Ukraine before the International Court of Justice and maritime arbitration tribunals in disputes with Moscow. In particular, he supervised the investigations into the death of Ukraine International Airlines flight PS 752 on January 8, 2020, following the bombing of Iranian air defenses.

Yenin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had disputes, but the latter failed to get rid of this expert in kyiv-Moscow disputes for a long time. Yenin returned to state affairs in April 2020, a year after his resignation in the context of Zelensky’s election. He was an indispensable all-rounder for Monastyrsky, a trained lawyer and former employee of Hillmont Partners, the former consultancy firm of Zelensky’s production company, Studio Kvartal 95.

This duo was appointed in mid-2021, after the resignation of longtime minister Arsen Avakov. After his departure, Zelenskiy’s team sought to regain control of the ministry from Avakov’s residual influence.
