CNN, the US tested its weapons in Ukraine and came to an important conclusion.

The American news channel CNN reported that Ukraine has become a testing ground for Western weapons, which do not always meet the level of expectations and may remain in the past after field tests.

For the US, Ukraine has become “a weapons laboratory in every sense of the word”.

The US channel quoted a source familiar with Western intelligence data: “These are real-world combat tests.”

The source said that Western weapons “have not been used before in conflicts between developed countries”, and in this respect Ukraine has become “a weapons laboratory in every sense of the word”.

The chain also cites an American officer and a study by a British analysis center according to which the Ukrainian conflict has become, for the Pentagon, a source of an enormous amount of information on American military systems.

These sources added that a number of these systems are proving to be less effective than expected, such as the “Switchblade 300” drones and anti-radar missiles.

As for HIMARS systems, the United States has learned that they need frequent maintenance under heavy use.

Citing a Pentagon source, CNN said military leaders will study information gathered in Ukraine.

Another conclusion of the US military is that the M777 howitzer loses accuracy due to heavy use. It also became clear that it is difficult to quickly move this system and conceal it to prevent it from being bombarded.

The US channel quoted Democratic Senator Jim Himes of the US House of Representatives Intelligence Committee as saying that “a whole book could be written” on the lessons learned from this conflict.
