Current Volcanic Alert Level: WARNING
Current Aviation Color Code: RED
The eruption continues atop Mauna Loa. All vents remain limited to the summit area. However, the lava flows in the summit area are visible from Kona. There is currently no indication of any migration of the eruption into a rift zone.
The volcanic alert level and the aviation color code for Mauna Loa remain at WARNING/RED.
The HVO continues to monitor the conditions carefully and will issue additional notices if necessary.
