The networks that aired Trump’s announcement saw massive spikes: Fox News had more than 5.16 million viewers during the announcement, including 929,000 in the key 25-54 age bracket. CNN saw strong growth with 2.43 million viewers, including 656,000 in the key age group. And Newsmax, which aired the announcement live, rose to 1.13 million viewers, including 195,000 in the key age bracket. Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN), which aired the speech on multiple digital platforms, said it also garnered more than 3.8 million viewers for Trump’s speech. Mr. Trump’s speech drew thunderous applause when he said, “America’s comeback begins now. He went on to detail that when he left office three years ago, America was thriving but is now suffering under the weight of Biden’s poor decisions.
Trump is no Washington insider, a fact that has earned him the trust of his base. In his speech, he explained that the MAGA movement is not about politics, but rather about love of country. He stated ,
“But as I promised in 2016, I am your voice. I am your voice. The Washington establishment wants to silence us, but we won’t let them. What we’ve built together over the past six years is the greatest movement in history, because it’s not about politics. It’s about our love for this great country, America, and we won’t let it fail. »
He went on to give hope to Americans: “I’m running because I believe the world has yet to see the true glory of what this nation can be. We haven’t reached that pinnacle, believe it or not… In fact, we can go very far. First we have to go far. We have to get out of this ditch. And once we’re out, you’ll see things no one imagined for any country. It’s called the United States of America. And it’s an amazing place. »
What perhaps angers Democrats and the mainstream media is that the endless insults and contempt they direct at Trump are fueling his popularity. Americans want a fighter, someone they believe will put their freedom and their interests first. They have finally found a movement that represents them with Making America Great Again and a champion in Donald Trump. They will show up for him, whether by attending a rally in person or watching his televised speeches.
