According to the agency, a senior Russian officer revealed that “Syrian forces shot down two missiles and seven guided bombs of the 20 dropped by Israeli warplanes”.
On Thursday, the Syrian Ministry of Defense said in a statement that “Israeli air aggression came from the sea, southwest of the governorate of Tartous”.
The press release adds that “two civilians were injured following this attack which caused material damage and the outbreak of fires in certain bombarded places”.

According to Mr. Yegorov, the Pantsir-S1 and S-75 systems intercepted some of them. “The SAR Armed Forces’ serving air defense forces destroyed two missiles and seven guided aerial bombs using Russian-made Pantsir-S1 and S-75 systems,” he said.
The Israeli strikes damaged some warehouses of the Center for Scientific Studies and Research, he added.
