The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Friday that its air force had intercepted 12 American HIMARS rockets in the past 24 hours.
Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said the Russian Air Force intercepted a Tochka-U ballistic missile and two US anti-radar missiles.
Konashenkov also referred to the interception of 12 American HIMARS rockets as part of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, reports the Russian news agency TASS.
“The Air Defense Forces also shot down 13 Ukrainian drones” in several locations in Ukraine’s Kharkov and Mykolaiv regions,” he added.
According to the Russian Defense spokesman, the Russian Air Force had carried out attacks on the deployment sites of the Ukrainian military battalions of Azov and Aidar in the Donetsk People’s Republic, killing more than 50 elements armed and destroying 12 pieces of military equipment, according to the news agency.

The missile is equipped with a combined navigation and automatic control system. The maximum range of its flight is 290 km, the walking speed is 700-1000 km/h. The mass of the warhead, depending on the configuration, is 300-310 kg.
In addition, Tactical Missiles will demonstrate at the Army-2022 Forum a multi-purpose short-range homing missile Kh-MD-E.
