Kazakh President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has come out in favor of Ukraine’s non-aligned status; according to him, this could be a good and acceptable solution to the current situation. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

According to him, during a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he said that “it would be a very good agreement if Ukraine were a non-nuclear state and did not join any military organization like NATO and so right away,” Tokayev said on the sidelines of the Qatar Economic Forum, explaining that it was an agreement “that was almost reached in Istanbul.”
