Elon Musk’s foray into politics has sparked controversy, with mainstream media and even Democratic politicians attacking him last year.
Musk’s political views have come under intense scrutiny following his decision to acquire Twitter, with people continuing to wonder what his vision for the social media giant will be.
In recent months, he has publicly spoken about his turn to the right. He posted a meme on Twitter saying he thought the Democratic Party had drifted too far left, making him a center-right conservative.
Last week, Musk publicly revealed he voted for a Republican for the first time when he backed Maya Flores (R-Tx.) in a victory that shocked the nation.
This week, Musk publicly shared his views on who he believes leads the Democratic Party.
The Epoch Times Reports: The tech billionaire Elon Musk has revealed that he believes certain unions are the main drivers of the policies of the Democratic Party and the Biden administration.
“The general public doesn’t know how much the unions control the Democratic Party. There is no need to speculate on this point,” Musk said in an interview published over the weekend.
Two of Musk’s companies, Tesla and SpaceX, are non-unionized, which Musk says is due to “negative employment” in Silicon Valley. He says Tesla workers usually have plenty of job openings.
United Auto Workers (UAW)with more than 390,000 active members, is one of the largest labor unions in the United States and has long been a major player in Democratic Party politics since its inception nearly 100 years ago.
“So deliberately excluding us from an EV summit at the White House but including the UAW tells you everything you need to know,” Musk said in the interview. “They have so much power over the White House that they can kick Tesla out of an EV summit it’s insane.”
